GHC Men get win, punch ticket to NWAC Tournament

Aberdeen, WA – The Grays Harbor College men are headed to the NWAC Tournament for the first time in 15 years.

The Chokers got the 94-71 win last night over Highline to secure their postseason berth.

It was sophomore night at the Grays Harbor College Gym as their three sophomores, Michael Sampson, Zachary Marrotte, and Zyare Ruffin were playing their last home game for the college.

Sampson led the Chokers with 25 points and 11 rebounds.

He was followed by Tristan Schoepf who had 18 points and five steals.

Grays Harbor had five players score in double figures as Marrotte added 15, Genuine Powell scored 14, and Antoine Hines notched 12.

The Chokers will now move on to the 2020 NWAC Basketball Championships which are set to begin March 7th.
