Elma takes home State 6th place trophy

The Elma Eagles girls basketball team came home with the sixth place trophy from the State Tournament.

While Elma lost their final match-up of the season on Saturday to Bellevue Christian 41-36, they capped their great season with a State Trophy.

It was a back and forth game as Elma led 20-18 at half time and 32-28 after three quarters, but they could not hang on to the lead in the fourth period.

Bellevue Christian outscored the Eagles 13-4 in the final frame to take the five point victory and the fourth place finish.

Kali Rambo was our player of the game as she led Elma with 12 points and nine rebounds.

Quin Mikel added 11 points and 7 rebounds.
