Elma falls to losers bracket after loss to Lynden Christian

The Elma Eagles fell to the Lynden Christian Lyncs today at the Yakima Valley SunDome, they play tomorrow in the losers bracket.

The Eagle offense never got going against a stifling Lync defense as Elma fell 55-25.

The Eagles only scored in double figures in the third quarter when they notched 10 points against the defending state champions.

Elma was outscored 28-10 in the first half and 27-15 in the second half.

Quin Mikel was awarded the Sportsmanship Award by the WIAA after the game and she led Elma with eight points.

Elma will take on the loser of Medical Lake vs. Meridian tomorrow at 10:30 a.m.
