Choker Women get first ever NWAC Tourney win
The Grays Harbor College women’s basketball team got their first ever NWAC Tournament win over the weekend.
The Chokers knocked out Whatcom Community College 76-65 on Saturday.
Grays Harbor was led by Charleea Armstrong and Sandin Kidder who each led all scorers in the game with 23 points.
Armstrong also added 10 rebounds, 5 assists, and 6 steals.
Kidder also grabbed 8 rebounds.
Isabel Hernandez added 10 points and 8 rebounds, and Armonnie Byrd grabbed 9 rebounds and dished out 7 assists.
The Chokers fell on Sunday 86-68 to Umpqua in the round of 8 and were eliminated from the tournament.
Armstrong and Kidder led Grays Harbor in that game as well with 25 points a piece.
