Aberdeen takes down Hoquiam

The Aberdeen Bobcats used a big third quarter to take down the Hoquiam Grizzlies 75-60 in our Bi-Mart Game of the Week.

The Bobcats were led by another big performance by Ben Dublanko as they swept the Boys Basketball Myrtle Street Rivalry.

Hoquiam led 14-11 after the first quarter and their man defense looked to be slowing down the Aberdeen attack into the second period as well.

The Bobcats would go on a run at the end of the first half however and they took a 29-25 lead into half time.

The third quarter is where Aberdeen really outran the Grizzlies as they outscored Hoquiam 24-15.

Dublanko had nine of his 36 points in the third and the Bobcats also got eight points from Nick Farrer in the frame.

Aberdeen would outscore Hoquiam 22-20 in the fourth to take the 15 point win.

Dublanko led all scorers in the match-up and was our Player of the Game and Farrer finished with 15 to go along with 10 rebounds.

Hoquiam was led by their two big men as Matt Brown finished with 22 points and 7 rebounds and Rayyon Dayton, playing in his first game of the season, had 20 points and 16 rebounds in the losing effort.
